A Posture To Rest
Hey sis, I see you making moves and doing big things. You're already prepping for 2020 like it was next week. I'm so proud of you! You do your best to balance work, school, husband, kids and all while building your brand and looking good too! But please remember, when you do it while resting in the promises of God, you'll be more refreshed!
I think we all have a tendency to take our futures into our own hands. We have so much on our plate. Everyone is demanding something and on top of that the social pressure is subconsciously burdensome. But God wants us to know that we don't have to take everything up on our own. If we keep going at the rate we are, we will burn ourselves out attempting to keep up with everyone and leaving the Spirit behind. God says, put in the work, but be at rest while doing it:
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.””
Matthew 11:28-30 TPT
God wants us to move by faith. We should never be lazy and lay around expecting God to do all the work. He actually works through us. But there comes a time when we need to know how to balance it. Anything we do should not be stressful. Pressure? Yes. Challenging? Yes. But stress should be handed over to our Heavenly Father. When we learn how to rest in our work we are at our best.
Remember boss, do the work, but make sure that it’s not working you!
Keep your crown up,
