In this life, you will face trials and tribulations. You may have bills due and wonder how you’re going to pay them, you may have gotten laid off and are in need of a job or your car may be having issues. Regardless of what you’re going through, your problems aren’t too hard for God to fix. Every problem is an opportunity to trust Him. (Jeremiah 32:27- I am the Lord, the God of all mankind; is there anything too hard for me?)
One day after Jesus healed the sick, it was getting late and there was nothing left for the crowd to eat. The disciples suggested that the crowd go buy themselves some food but Jesus knew that wasn’t necessary. Jesus took the problem to God because He knew that He’d have an answer. (Matthew 14:20- And everyone ate until full! and when the scraps were picked up afterwards, there were twelve basketfuls left over!) Give your burden to the Lord and He will take care of it.
One chapter later the disciples were facing the same issue, they had a crowd of people and there was nothing left to eat. (Matthew 15:33-34- The disciples replied, “And where would we get enough here in the desert for all this mob to eat?” Jesus asked them, “How much food do you have?” And they replied, “Seven loaves of bread and a few small fish!”) Jesus gave the problem to God once again and everyone ate until they were full. When the scraps were picked up there were seven basketfuls left over.
God has a solution for any problem that you have. There was food leftover both times Jesus fed the crowd. You serve a God of unlimited resources, a God who supplies more than enough and more than you can ever imagine. Just as Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now glory be to God, who by His mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” He’s solved more than one of your problems before and He’ll do it again.
