Vision is Made For Victory

Scrolling through Instagram, I saw a photo of my childhood friend, Jordan Richardson, as a smile rose on my face she reminded me of a quote from a famous author.

“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight with no vision.” – Helen Keller

Many of us today have the ability to see life before us and have yet to picture the future. In this case, Helen explains that she cannot see but she isn’t worried about that. The fact that she is still able to visualize things in a different way is the blessing of it all. You see, Jordan is a 21-Year-old Fashion Make-Up artist, College Student and the creator of ExtraJordanary  Artistry ( At 18 while in high school, she transformed her simple obsession and turned it into her greatest passion just by going for it! Who would’ve thought that 3 years later she would be 2019 New York Fashion Week’s Make-Up artist working with a handful of celebrities? Ms. Richardson did not see everything that was coming, but she knew that her vision would come with hard work, not only as a make-up artist but also as a degreed College student now traveling the world for her talent.

People without a Vision for the future are an endless presence without hope, expectation or guidance.  Sometimes we may get confused between Sight and Vision. Sight is the physical eye that allows you to see. Whereas, Vision is the mind’s eye where plans and ideas are formed. Creating a vision allows you to pursue dreams, achieve goals, help overcome obstacles and hold you up when times are tough. A vision is required while you’re on a mission to make anything happen.

In Proverbs 29:18 it says “Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.”

In other words, if people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed. To accomplish anything you must first have a mission, a goal, a hope, and a vision.

How do you create a vision?

  • Know exactly what you want
  • Ask yourself where do you see yourself in a few years?
  • How do you want to look, feel and live?

  • Remember vision Is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.

When you build a vision, vision BIG.

Look at things beyond your current reality.

    Have a blessed day,

    Vanessa Cesar
